There are so many positives to training...no matter what style you prefer. What does everyone get out of their training, what is the most important thing, above all else that you take away from your training??

I've been thinking about this for the last couple of hours and I'm really struggling to think of a single answer. I think possibly self confidence is the thing I've gained the most from regular training over the last few years.

There's so many other great benefits too though.
Now slightly more bruised than before.

I have to agree, and not only self confidence with regards to having the ability to protect yourself but in everyday life, work, school, cross training. ;)

I agree with everything said here. I'd also like to add that as I train more it snowballs more and more, so the more I train the more other aspects improve which then in turn make me want to train a lot more.

The most important thing I get from my training is, every session I'm confronted with fear - of getting hit, of getting hurt, of pushing my boundaries, of growth, of being embarassed - and I push through it. That kind of mental conditioning carries through to real life and has helped my anxiety problems immensely.

For me, it has always been the focus of Mind, Body and Spirit.

I honestly think that if everyone did Martial Arts, the world would be a more respectful place.

with respect,
