Gallery suggestions

A couple of suggestions for the gallery:

1. When uploading a gallery item and choosing tags, it should give a dropdown or type-ahead list of current tags. This will help avoid mis-spelling of tags and encourage people to use the tags more so that people can filter the gallery to find what they're looking for.

2. In the gallery listing, I'd like to see some indication of what 'type' of media it is - eg: video or picture. Maybe an icon or something.

3. In the gallery listing, as well as being able to filter by tag, maybe filter by image type as well (to view all videos, or all images).

4. For uploading an image, is there a file-size limit or a set of file-types that are allowed?

5. For uploading video, what do you put in the "youtube video" field? Just the video id, or the whole URL? Will you (or does it already) support other video sites, like Vimeo etc?

Cheers

Have added this to the list to do.

2. In the gallery listing, I'd like to see some indication of what 'type' of media it is - eg: video or picture. Maybe an icon or something.

Done.

3. In the gallery listing, as well as being able to filter by tag, maybe filter by image type as well (to view all videos, or all images).

Added view videos and view images quick links.

4. For uploading an image, is there a file-size limit or a set of file-types that are allowed?

The is a file size limit but it's not all that relevant as it shouldn't be reached. The images will only be displayed at a maximum of 600x600 in the gallery so there's no point uploading images larger than that - I've added some text to the gallery to reflect this.

5. For uploading video, what do you put in the "youtube video" field? Just the video id, or the whole URL? Will you (or does it already) support other video sites, like Vimeo etc?

It is the URL of the video. I've changed the label to youtube video URL. Currently there is only support for youtube videos. Adding support for other sites in not planned at this stage but it is not out of the question - just less of a priority as 99% of the population uses youtube.
Now slightly more bruised than before.
