Unfortunately I'll be in the middle of my black belt prep cycle, so i'm avoiding competing during just in case I get injured.

It means I can't go in the NAS tourney on the 2nd May too :(

What are the events you can enter for ISB?
Is it open for all martial arts schools to enter?

Hi Jason - IBS is open to any style - you can go to their website - http://www.zenbukan.com.au/index.php - for information on their Tournament. The Tournaments cover all the usual events sparring, point sparring, Kata, weapons kata etc plus ZBK/IBS special event Viadal - this is becoming a very popular event as it is similar to MMA style fighting - what Kempo do you study?

yeah sorry about the double posting - I cannot see why you cannot compete but I will double check for you - I have known Master Davis for many years and while we have not spoken in a while (my life is a bit erratic at times) I consider him a friend - give me a few days and I will have an answer or you can just enter as yourself which is what I tend to do when I compete as i am a very intermitent martial artist!

Hi Jason - spoke with the people who organise the Tournament and as the ads say "Tournament is open to any style" - just come along and have a good time - accept the rulings issued and walk away at the end of the day knowing that you have competed - tournaments are about COMPETITION and not only about winning.

No I no longer train with ZBK but anyone who has ever trained with ZBK will know that it is hard to get it out of your blood - I am not sure of the exact details but I know that ZBK and IBS are two separate bodies but are connected through family - anyway just come along and have a good time.

Say a big howdy to Davis for me and tell him I will drop by sometime!

Imagine hold a tournament at a disco....there was so many people at this round of the budosport tournament.....at one stage they had all the BJJ boys warming up on the one mat, looked like one living organism,,,crazy. Any the devisions were huge with up to 16 in one event...congrats to anyone there competing on the day.

It was a long day - work commitments meant that I could only stay for two hours but the Tournament was well attended and i am sorry that I missed the Viadal and ground fighting!
