Are there any upcoming seminars that any of us will be attending, and are we able to promote and highlight them amongst our MA community. Maybe we can get together at some of these seminars and network and build friendships away from cyberspace towards our personal MA development. I will start one that I added to the events calender recently:

News Item: Special seminar from a top Knife Instructor Nov 2009

AnnouncementsSome of you may know that one of our previous instructors from the Central Coast, Steve Dougherty has been studying knife techniques for many years with his brother Jeff - and has been sharing his knowledge with instructors and students from the Hunter and Central Coast region for several years. Some of you may recall the excellent seminar Steve gave at Five Dock at a Super Hapkido Workshop a few years back. He certainly knows the knife.

The method Steve Dougherty is studying is called the Tactical Modular Systems.

Tactical Modular Systems is proud to be bringing 6th Dan Master Thomas Lehmann out to Australia for a Seminar in CSSD/SC Gunting and Modular Knife.

This is a great opportunity to train with one of the world’s foremost Knife Instructors. You will find the Seminar both enjoyable and informative as they have a very hands on approach to training.

There are only a limited number of places available so bookings are essential.

When
Saturday 14 Nov 2009 - 12 noon to 4pm (approx finish).

Please note: I personally have no involvement or interest in this seminar, just starting the thread rolling ( but I probably will go as an interested participant)- jurgenmeister
If its to be, it's up to me!

That seminar does sound pretty interesting. Would be good to add some new knife defences to the repertoire.

I agree it would be good to get some "offline" stuff happening as well as online. Perhaps the upcoming martial arts and fitness expo would be a good place for people to meet and catch up as well.
Now slightly more bruised than before.
