The little guy in the maroon seems to have really good control and speed. Impressive.

What do you think of the take down techniques at 2:17 Michael, that was what I was trying to explain the other day.

Ah yes, I see what you were saying now Chris. I think it would be a difficult technique to get. Would need a LOT of practice at it I'd... I don't think I could manage at all because I've got shin problems.

I was asking Ron about it the other day, and I also have seen Master Booth do this on a video. It would be a great move when in pre-grapple/ take down situations. You cannot push force onto the knee directly as it is too dangerous, but you must push the force sideways and down to make the knee buckle backwards and go from there.
BTW There is a colored belt grading this Saturday at Tuggerah, will you go along. I told Ron I will put a BBQ on at the end for all the participants and families.....

Andrew, Hi - It is from a seminar run in the US with a couple of Masters from Portugal I believe. The larger guy doesn't look as though he could move as fast as he does but is pretty terrific, and the smaller guy is super dynamic. I like how he hooks in with multiple blows, it shows me how a real situation should be dealt with if you had too. Its like the US Defence Force, a bit of 'shock and awe', he is pretty teriffic regardless. All the best.
